On Sunday the 21st April we’ll hold our first outdoor Canoe Polo session at North Dock, Llanelli.
This will be a great session to test your outdoor gear and get used to paddling outdoors ready for the National League next weekend.
The session will be charged on a pay what you want basis, and funds will go towards covering the losses incurred from the Penlan sessions. It’s likely we’ll be facing costs for our future outdoor sessions once we have a pitch setup, so expect £6-8 longer term.
There will be 2 meeting times, 4pm at North Dock or 3.30pm at Penllergaer (SA4 9GU) to sort out kit and/or if you want to jump on the minibus to the dock to save on parking costs. Set your attendance online as usual so we can make sure we’ve got enough boats and kit in the trailer for everyone who needs it.
After the session we’ll head back to Penllergaer to rinse down all gear.
If you’re short of any kit – ask and we might have club kit / spares available.
Remember – there are no toilets or changing facilities at the dock. Parking is available in the nearby pay and display car park.
You can update attendance here.
Don’t forget your sun cream!
Caring for Kit
For many of you it will be your first time using kit outdoors, please be careful of boats – if you’re getting in and out of the water make sure there’s no rocks under your boat as they can cause quite a bit of damage, especially to the carbon boats!
Similarly, if you’re loading / unloading boats. please put them down on grass when possible, and place them carefully or on top of plastic boats otherwise.
After the session we’ll rinse all club kit at Geraint’s, please also make sure to rinse your personal kit before taking it to the next pool session or other bodies of water to prevent contamination.
